Women’s Golf Signs Two High School Student-Athletes For 2018-19 Season

first_imgDES MOINES, Iowa – The Drake University women’s golf team has signed high school student-athletes Kristen Giles (Georgetown, Ontario) and Haeri Lee (Buffalo Grove, Ill.) to a National Letter of Intent for the 2018-19 season, head coach Rachael Pruett announced Wednesday, Nov. 15.  Print Friendly Version Giles is a multi-sport athlete for Georgetown District High School. She was a three-time Ontario High School Regional Championship medalist and was a four-time top-10 finisher at the Ontario High School Provincial Championship. Giles finished on the top-half of the leaderboard at the 2017 Canadian Woman’s Amateur Championship. During her prep career, Giles recorded nine top-10 finishes on the Junior Tour. She is also a volleyball letter winner. Drake opens the spring season on Feb. 12 at the KTP Golf Invitational in Henderson, Nev.center_img Lee hails from Buffalo Grove, Ill. and is a three-time All-Mid-Suburban League honoree. This past fall, Lee was an all-IHSA Class 2A selection as she posted a 74 18-hole average. She led Buffalo Grove High School to back-to-back Mid-Suburban League East Division championships. Lee also qualified for the 2017 U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship. “We welcome Kristen and Haeri to the Bulldog family with excitement and optimism for what the future brings.
