Kiyyasia Elien earned a three-game total of 368.Following that, Solvay lost 7-0 to Christian Brothers Academy on Thursday afternoon featured Lee earning a 422 series, and all of her teammates were close behind.LaFlair had a three-game total of 408, just in front of Raymond (404), McCann (403) and Rylie Dwyer (401), but they all trailed the 497 series from CBA’s Cadence Malicek and 449 series from Sophie Schultz.Making it three in a row, Solvay held off Chittenango 2-1 on Friday, with McCann getting a 475 series ahead of LaFlair (454) and Lee (412 series), overcoming a 519 series from the Bears’ Brooke DiFlorio.West Genesee had its first match of 2020 on Jan. 3 at Flamingo Bowl against Liverpool, and could not get a point in either match against the Warriors.The boys Wildcats did get some good scores from Bobby Bidwell, with a 519 series, and Richard Wituszynski, who posted a 507 set. But five Liverpool bowlers had series of 587 or better, led by Josh Winzens’ 684 set.In the girls 5-0 defeat, WG had a pinfall of 1,961 to Liverpool’s 2,345. Lorelai Leskoske had steady games of 180, 189 and 160 to produce a 529 series as Gabbie Gardner added a 402 series. Ashley Hardy led the Warriors with a 612 series.For its next match, the Wildcats faced Fayetteville-Manlius at Green Lakes Bowl, and WG won on the boys side, pulling out a 2-1 decision over the Hornets.Richard Wituszynski and Bobby Bidwell both finished with 604 series as Wituszynski started out with a season-best 266 game and Bidwell opened with a 224.Helping out, Deano Procopio had a 515 series, just ahead of the 508 set from Connor Chawgo as WG overcame the top individual series by F-M’s Kevin Winschel, who shot a 627 set.Again, the WG girls could not earn a point in its 3-0 defeat to F-M, where again Leskoske paced the Wildcats, shooting a 443 series with a high game of 164. For the Hornets, Shelby Miner finished with games of 250 and 240 on her way to a season-best 682 series.In Wednesday’s match against Cicero-North Syracuse, the boys Wildcats were shut out 3-0, Procopio getting a 579 series with a 222 opener as Wituszynski had a 544 series. Tyler Dottolo had a 258 game and 657 series for the Northstars.The WG girls also took a 3-0 defeat to C-NS, with Leskoske’s 465 series the only one above the 400 mark. Alex Gallardo and Ed Matysuk each had 484 series, with Ethan Bigelow’s 461 set just ahead of the 458 from Russ Tarbell. When Solvay shut out Christian Brothers Academy 7-0 on Thursday, it was Tarbell, with a steady 575 series, just ahead of Bigelow’s 574 set as Carter Lee contributed a 555 series.Then a 7-0 win over Chittenango completed a perfect week for the Bearcats, Bigelow’s second game of 245 part of a 624 series, well clear of the 521 set posted by Tarbell that did conclude with a 203 game.The Solvay girls team returned to action last Tuesday and shut out Weedsport 3-0, led by Michalena Raymond, who shot a 486 series with a high game of 180.
